School Exhibition 2013  (Scroll down for classes)

1.Each school will be assigned a series of Exhibitor’s numbers which will be supplied under separate cover. Please give each student one Exhibitor’s number to identify all work completed by the student.

2.The teacher should fill out or supervise the completion of the entry tags which should be clearly filled out in black or dark blue ink and not in pencil which fades.  As we have eliminated the registration sheet, the tags are the only way of identifying the student for prizes and return of work in the fall.  NOTE: The student’s name must not appear on the front of the work or the item will be disqualified. (The exception to this is Section K1.)

3.Each student can only enter in the grade class which he/she is currently enrolled. When Grades are split, please use the appropriate grade level when the work was completed.

4.All school work must be submitted from regular classroom work and STUDENTS CAN ONLY ENTER ONE PIECE OF WORK IN EACH SECTION. No tracing work will be accepted.

5.Please ensure that a single entry tag is securely stapled to the front, upper right corner of the entry and folded to conceal the student’s name and preserve anonymity.

6.Please ensure that the exhibits are ready in your School Office prior to pick up. Exhibits will be picked up during the last week of June or earlier upon request.  Exact time of pick up will be confirmed at a later date.  Whereas judging takes place during the second week of July and the sorting / organizing of the exhibits is done ten days prior, we cannot accept late entries.

7.Exhibits will be on display for public viewing throughout the Fair.  Following the fair, the exhibits will be sorted according to school and then returned to the school with cash prize money in early October.

8.Prizes awarded in all sections include $5 for 1st, $4 for 2nd and $3 for 3rd place.  Each winning entry will also receive a ribbon.  Should any discrepancies occur in the awarding of prize money, the matter must be referred to the Fair Secretary prior to October 15thafter which time, all prizes will be assumed correct.

9.Special rules apply for the OAAS Poster Competitions which have been identified for

Sections 71 and 72.

1.In the event a controversial issue arises over the prize award to a piece of work, the Judge’s decision is final.  All other matters are the responsibility of the Committee Chairperson.

Thanking you in advance for your time and efforts.

Together, we can make the 2013 Delta Fair a memorable one for all of your students!
