Class B: Lawn Mower Pull

Classes

Class 1: 8 to 10 H.P.

Class 2: 11 to 12 H.P.

Class 3: 13 to 16 H.P.

Class 4: Unlimited Stock- Any H.P. can compete

Class 5: 1000 lbs. Modified

Class 6: 1200 lbs. Modified


Note: All tractors are limited to one class step up per event.

The Good Time Pullers Code of Ethics.

1. No consumption of alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs by the drivers will be tolerated before and

during the pulls.

2. No registration will be accepted after the first pull of the class has started. Registration will close 1/2

hour before the event starts due to new electronic enrollment.

3. All tractor drivers must show safe manners of control of their tractors on and off the track. Any hot

dogging will not be tolerated.

4. The puller must obey the official flagman or will be disqualified. The track judge and officials decisions

are final. Flagman will have a green and red flag. Flag man is one of our members.

5. There will be a driver’s meeting before each pull. A technical inspection will be completed at the first

pull of the year and also to new participants.

6. A Tractor may only run once in a class. Drivers may run more than one tractor per class. Operators

between 6 (min) and 14 years of age must be attended by one parent to operate a stock tractor.

7. The puller may stop before the front of the sled has reached the 35ft mark and ask for a re-pull only

once, and then the driver has 2 minutes to make adjustments once sled is spotted. Pull off excluded.

8. Tractors that touch or cross over the track boundary lines during a pull will be disqualified. Maximum

track length will be 300ft. Only the test puller on his/her test pull will be exempt of an out of bounds

disqualification.

9. Once sled weight is correct, the test puller has the right to take his first pull or to come back in third

or last place. If pull sled weight is incorrect, the test puller must re-pull immediately or will lose his test

pull then the second puller of the class will become the test puller.

10. Drivers must wear a helmet for all classes and only helmets approved for snowmobiles or

motorcycles will be permitted. Fire suits are encouraged but not a must at this time. Long pants only (no

shorts) and either a full shoe or boot must be worn. No wearing of anything loose will be permitted

unless tied.

11. If mower is attached then no wheel weights. If no mower then wheel weights that are manufactured

for tractor wheels are permitted. Front and rear tires may be loaded with liquid to enhance better

traction on Stock tractors only. Front tires may be loaded on a modified tractor as long as it does not

exceed the weight class. 1 wheel weight per wheel is allowed.


12. Any loss of weights during pull is instant disqualification. Weights must be mounted as close to

tractor as possible and secured properly.

13. Modified Class-Maximum of 1100cc 4 cycle or 700cc 2 cycle.

14. All tractors must be 2 wheel drive, driven by rear wheels. No dual wheels, chains, studs, ATV or

paddle tires will be accepted. No Chevron cut tires will be allowed (Cepek, Pitt Bull, etc.) Agricultural

type tires or turf tires. Example: Carlisle Super Lug, True Power or Firestone. Maximum tire size for

modified tractor is 26x12x12.

15. Stock tractors can use their stock hitch or modified to 13 inches. If a 13 inch hitch is used then

wheelie bars must be added as well. Any hitch must have a 2 inch hole to allow entry of a hook or a ball

with enough shank to accept a hook.

16. If weights are needed then they are to be secured on a rack on modified only. No wheel weights in

the wheels on a modified tractor. All tractors must have a tractor seat with a backrest minimum of 3’”

high. All drivers must be seated with legs in forward position.

17. The exhaust pipes must not be pointed at any spectators. They are to be pointed straight up or down

with an angle to either side. (Modified tractors)

18. Modified tractors must be equipped with spring loaded throttle. Kill switch shall be located at the

rear of the tractor in a position that will allow for easy attachment or detachment without interference.

The switch should be in the center of the tractor or within 6’ either side of center.

19. All tractors must have adequate braking system. Modified tractors must have a fire extinguisher

mounted in a visible location and readily accessible.

20. Tractors will operate on gasoline and must be naturally aspirated. Electronic fuel injection accepted.

No alcohol, turbos or blowers.

21. The rear tire treads must be covered by a minimum of 3’ by a fender for the driver safety.

22. All modified tractors must be equipped with a adequate protection shield over the front of the

engine crankcase with a minimum of 1/8 thick metal. All shafts, drives, sprockets, belts and chains must

be properly shielded for safety.

23. In case of a test puller the driver must advise the sled operator or flag person whether he will keep

the pull or return in a later position before leaving the front of the sled after his/her pull.

24. Under no circumstances may any member deface, insult, demoralize, condemn or rename another

man’s tractor.

25. Definition of a modified tractor: Tractors must be a manufactured lawn or garden tractor with

original frame and rear axle with as much original sheet metal as possible. Motorcycle or snowmobile

engine within above mentioned specs. A 6 inch frame extension is allowed in the wheel base.

26. Definition of a stock tractor: Tractor must be a factory produced lawn or garden tractor. Engine may

be other than original providing it was produced for use in a tractor. Tractor is classed by the horse

power rating. Max governed RPM for any stock engine is 3600 rpm. All wheels and tires must be original

size or as close as possible.
