1. Please submit entries to fair office one week prior to show.

2. 2009 memberships ($5.00) must be paid prior to showing at the fair.

3. Entry fee of 20% will be deducted from the prize money.

4. Proof of liability insurance must be provided with entries.

5. General rules and regulations of Delta Agricultural Society will apply.

6.  This show is sanctioned by the Canadian Goat Society (C.G.S) and all its rules shall be govern.

7.  This is an open show.

8.  Exhibitors can show an unlimited number of animals in a class, but will only receive a maximum of prize money per class.

9.  All animals will be inspected by a committee of 3 C.G.S members in good standing. Exhibitors agree to abide by the committee

decision. Animals which do not pass inspection or arrive late will not be allowed to show.

10. Time of stay: be in position by 11:00 a.m.; remain until at least 4:00 p.m.

11. Exhibits must be owned and registered by C.G.S. in the name of the farm unit. Original papers must be available for animals

6 months and older and be legibly tattooed in accordance with papers.

12. American, British, Canadian and Purebreds may be shown in the same class.

13. No pre-show milk out. Goats with a hard distended udder may be disqualified at discretion of judge.

14. Base date for calculating age is the first day of the month in which the fair opens.

15. No goat may be shown in more than one class except in the championship or specials.

Sections

1. Doe Kid (3–9 months).

2. Doe Kid (9–24 months).

3. Yearling milker (less than 24 months).

4. Two-year-old milker (24 months and less than 36 months).

5. Milker over 3 years old.

6. Breeder’s Herd: A group of 4 animals bred and owned by the exhibitor consisting of at least 3 milking does which have been

shown in the above sections.

7. Boy or girl, 2–7 years of age.

8. Boy or girl, 8–l3 years of age.

10. Best Udder: Judge shall select the best two udders in each milking class. These selected exhibits shall compete for best udder in the show. Donation of milk bucket.

11. Best Doe in Show: Chosen from Grand Champions of all breeds.
