Class W-1: Mini King & Queen Pageant

11:30 a.m. - Registration at Band Shell.

12:00 p.m. -Pageant.

Rules

1. While no entry fee is required for this event, all participants must be pre-registered.

2. Open to children from 4 up to and including 8 years of age.

3. Children entering must be able to participate in the Official Opening Ceremony and the Parade.

Procedures

1. All participants will be taken up on to the stage. Each participant will be called to centre stage, one at a time, where he/she will randomly select a question from the question box. The Master of Ceremonies will then ask the child the question after which he/she may return to the group.

2. A panel of 3 Judges will make the selection of a Mini King and Mini Queen. All decisions are final.

3. This is NOT a beauty contest.

4. Prizes will be awarded to the Mini King and Queen.

Class W-2: Children’s Pedal Tractor Pull

Sunday, July 28th, 2013

2:00 p.m. on the Track at the Grandstand.

Prizes

Every participant will receive $2 with a ribbon.

Registration for the pedal tractor pull will be one half hour before pull time at the Main Stage. Only the first 15 children to register in each class will be qualified to participate.

Each participant will be weighed at registration.

Class One: 20-40 lb.

Class Two: 41-60 lb.

Class Three: 61-80 lb.

Rules

1. There is no entry fee for this competition but competitors are required to register 15 minutes prior to the event.

3. All competitors are expected to remain in the show line.

4. All dogs must be on a leash and an adult must be nearby to aid with the handling of the animal, if required. All other animals must be suitably contained.

5. Insects or other creatures deemed not to be a pet by the judge will be disqualified. Appropriate pets could include a rabbit, guinea pig, fowl, goat or piglet, etc.

6. All decisions by the judge are final. Parental interference with the judge’s or supervisor’s work is discouraged.
